We are seeking a User Experience Designer who will be responsible for creating great experiences for our software products and accompanying materials. You will work collaboratively with fellow members of the development and business teams to conceptualize, design and prototype ideas; then assist in the creation and implementation of those ideas.

As a User Experience Designer, you would:

• Represent the "User Experience" by translating customer requirements into defined specifications and inspiring the development team to develop the right product
• Own the design of the user interface-related features and participate in the product definition process with business and development teams.
• Influence product strategy and direction
• Develop and maintain design mockups, usage scenarios, prototypes, specifications, and other design documents
• Work with feature development teams to provide styles, graphics and direction to ensure that the products reflect the customer's needs and are consistent
• Develop expert-level knowledge of products, including competitive and complementary products in order to bring new ideas to the team
• Define innovative user interfaces and interaction styles which result in improved user productivity and adoption

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

• Creativity, interaction and interface design and problem solving skills
• Drive to understand our users and design the best user experience possible
• Excellent presentation skills & and attention to detail
• Team player experienced in working with various departments within a product team
• Expertise in visual design and prototyping using tools like Photoshop
• Knowledge of both web and desktop software design
• Writing skills, including user guides, help and/or marketing materials would be beneficial
• Experience in designing solutions for life sciences, document management, workflow and/or project management products would be helpful
