This is a mid-level role within Envision Pharma. In coordination with the Editorial Manager, this person will be responsible for the editorial review of all designated deliverables. As part of this role, the person will have to demonstrate:

– Strong medical editing/proofreading prowess
– Attention to detail
– Excellent project management skills
– Willingness to tackle special projects, as assigned, eg, library maintenance and/or obtaining permissions
– Excellent ability to communicate with team colleagues
– Production “know how” in so far as it relates to the critical appraisal (based on predetermined specifications) of both files bound for print production and “prepress” materials
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Word , Excel, EndNote®, PowerPoint, and Prism GraphPad

The role involves support of Scientific Solutions and Client Solutions, as needed, and mentorship of less experienced editors and/or production persons. In addition to editing/proofreading, the role may involve substantive editing, formatting, fact checking against supplied source material, and verifying reference citations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in English or related communications discipline and an affinity for the life sciences. Medical/pharmaceutical agency environment experience is a plus.
