Gene P. Snyder is Divisional Lead for UBC-Envision Group, responsible for overall business and operational management of the Philadelphia, PA, USA and Hammersmith, UK offices, and is a member of the company's business planning and management teams. Gene has over 16 years of experience is medical publishing and publication planning. During his career, he has worked for leading publishers, Elsevier, Inc. as well as Wiley-Blackwell Publishing, managing business operations as well as journal portfolios in the neurology, cardiovascular, and ophthalmology areas. Gene has also spent 8.5 years within the pharmaceutical industry, most recently as Senior Director/Group Leader, Publication Management Group, at Pfizer Inc. In that capacity, Gene led a cross-functional team and executive advisory committee with senior management sponsors to create a centralized publishing group within the Worldwide Medical Organization in order to improve and standardize processes, policies, and standards; develop training programs around publishing and data disclosure; and implement technology platforms to support publishing and disclosure globally.  

Gene also provided guidance and consultation on global and regional strategic publication planning efforts across 11 therapeutic areas (36 marketed products). Additionally, he served as an internal consultant to individual development compound teams on cross-functional excellence in strategic publication planning and execution. Gene is a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (www.ismpp.org). Gene continues to serve as an advisor and consultant to many life science companies to develop internal publishing functions, publication policies, standard operating procedures, compliance training, and resource management.
